Ha Giang Motorbike Tour - 8 Days

On the first day of Ha Giang motorbike tour, tour leader will come and pick you to the bike parking at 7 am on the departure date. A great challenge will be started when riding in the bustle of Hanoi. After riding along the dike of the Red river, you will reach Doan Hung town in Phu Tho province. Here, you can have a change to ride in different terrain and see so many green tea fields and palm trees grown on the sloppy hills. Continue heading up North, you will reach Vu Linh Commune which lying near the bank of the Thac Ba lake.

You will stay over-night in home-stay which has a nice view to the Lake of the Dzao people.

Say goodbye to the very friendly host and the charming village of the Red Dao before heading up North to Ha Giang, a very famous destination in the whole trip. The ride will be totally on the mountainous roads with the fantastic views of mountains and the ethnic villages dotted in the peach blossom color and green of the forests.

The rout from Ha Giang to Dong Van is definitely amazing. You will be so excited when riding through the winding trails. Many small houses of different hill tribes such as H’mong, Lo Lo, Tay…has been built on the mountain slopes. At the height of 1,600mabove sea level, Dong Van is one of the special limestone areas of the country, containing typical markers of the history of the crust development. Water here is very precious because this land rarely has rain, no rain in even a year. So, come here, please stop to drink a cup of cooking water which taken from the small slit running down from the high mountains. We bet that you will have a very special feeling.

Wake up early to have a short walk around the Dong Van town to discover the hidden beauty of the land and learn more about the local life. Then, you will get on the saddle again to ride down South. The ride today is quite short but the landscape is among the most beautiful in Vietnam. The highlight of Ha giang motorbike tour is riding through Ma Pi Leng pass, one of the 4 Kings of Pass in the North of Vietnam. This amazing pass is worth to be listed in the top places to conquer in Vietnam. 

You will stay over-night in a standard hotel in Bao Lac, the ethnic crossroad of Northeast Vietnam.

The road today is quite easy but has so many sharp bends.  You will ride to lower region, Cao Bang province where the scenery and people change a lot. Passing several passes where you can witness many amazing views and take so many great photos.

Quang Uyen is not a touristy destination so the scenery of this region is almost untouched. The ride today is mainly off-roads and it is very close to the Chinese border.

A great chance to visit Ban Gioc waterfall, you can walk and picnic around this land to contemplate the natural charms. If riding here in summer or hot time, you can swim in the natural pool nearby the waterfall.

Continue riding to Cao Bang town to have a stay tonight. The ride today is worth relaxing and treasuring the moments because of the humble beauty of people and daily life here.

Cao Bang is not far from Ba Be Lake but the ride today is full of excitement. The winding and curving roads are very smooth which lead to a very peaceful village of the Tay people which lying beautifully near the Ba Be Lake, the biggest fresh water lake in Vietnam, the experience of staying with the local in their house on stilts with great lake view will bring tourists a very relaxation time among this beautiful nature.

Say goodbye to the great lake, great view and friendly people in Ba Be, we will pass many countryside roads to ride back to Hanoi to finish the awesome 8 day tour. It is a quite long day ride but you can see more the life of the countryside in Vietnam with corn fields, rice fields, many buffalos and cows and the big smiles of the farmers working on the field – a really fascinating day.
