Ha Giang Karst Plateau

Ha Giang province belongs to North-east of Vietnam and it is located at the highest latitude in Vietnam. Ha Giang shares its border with Yunnan province of southern China, Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang.  This province covers an area of 7.945,8 km² and has a total population of nearly 800,000 people. Ha Giang City is 320km from Ha Noi. From Ha Giang, you can follow National Highway No. 2, 34, 279 to Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Lao Cai provinces
The topography of Ha Giang is very complex. It is divided into 3 regions. The north region has rocky mountains with high cliff, steep valleys and separated rivers and streams, temperate climate, it has only 2 seasons: dry season and rainy season. The west region belongs to mountain massif of the upstream of Chay river with steep slopes, high passes, narrow valley and stream bed. The low land area includes mountains, hills, valley of Lo River, and Ha Giang City. The average temperature is between 24ºC – 28ºC and in winter, temperature sometimes is down to -5ºC.
Ha Giang is home to many unique cultural heritages with a long lasting tradition of more than 20 ethnic minorities: Việt (Kinh), Mong, Lo Lo, Pu Peo, Dao, Muong, Sán Dìu.... but a major is Hmong, Tay, Dao and Nung ethnic groups.  Once you travel to Ha Giang in our Vietnam motorbike tours, you will be much impressive with natural landscapes and people here unlike any other tourism destinations. The province has a lot of grandiose mountains, in which Tay Con Linh is considered as the highest peak of 2,419m.
